We need new ideas. I've heard about that "giant bus" proposal, to drive over traffic. This would work, but not as a bus, as Light Rail. If the technological problems can be figured out, you can have these giants roaming the streets. Costs would be very cheap to install a system like this, and only the vehicles would be costly. Compare this to a Subway system, where the tunnels can eat up billions of dollars.
